Congratulations Sr Felicitas
Warmest prayers and congratulations from all at Maryvale to our former colleague, Sr Maureen Felicitas Obiorah IHM, on the Silver Jubilee of her Profession. Sr Felicitas, a member of the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Mother of Christ, celebrates 25 years since she took her first Religious Vows.
To celebrate the occasion, a service of thanksgiving was held on 16th October 2021 at St Peter's Catholic Church, Bloxwich, at which the Holy Altar was beautifully decorated with silver altar cloths. The Mass, led by Fr David Doran, parist priest, was also attended by many priests from the UK and other European countries. Many IHM Sisters, Sisters from other religious communities, along with family and friends also came together to celebrate and support Sr Felicitas on this special day.
After the Holy Mass of thanksgiving, a colourful party was held in honour of Sr Felicitas, at which she thanked God, as she looked back and recounted His countless blessings. Sr Felicitas went on to 'thank God for His grace, love and mercy' and also voiced how she indebted to Our Mother Mary, under whose Virginal mantle she has sheltered. Sr Felicitas further expressed her thanks to everyone and prayed for God's blessing on all.
