Third Volume Published (2020)


Dr Andrew Morris Launches New Book

Maryvale is delighted to announce the release of the third volume of Aspects of Doctoral Research at the Maryvale International Catholic Institute, edited by Dr Andrew Morris and published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing. Dr Morris focuses on the outcomes of the institute's Research in Catholic Studies programme (validated by Liverpool Hope University). The book provides an overview of the breadth of work by its students in the UK, USA and Africa and their contribution to new knowledge in the area of Catholic studies, a wide field including history, literature, philosophy, spirituality and theology.

Dr Morris' academic specialism is in the field of faith-based education and school leadership. He was seconded from the Archdiocese of Birmingham Diocesan Schools Commission to Liverpool Hope University in October 2017 as Senior Research Fellow and Director of the National Centre for Christian Education. He also served as Course Director of Postgraduate Research at Maryvale Institute from 2013 to 2015 and continues to offer PhD supervision to students. He is an established author, having published over 30 articles, 6 books and 9 book chapters since 1994
