Join us online on Wednesday 18th October 2023 at 6.00pm (London time) for the St John Henry Newman Research Centre for Catholic Theology's Online Academic Forum, the latest in a series of occasional, public seminars by Maryvale academics. This time, Dr Robert McNamara, will be asking St Edith Stein: Doctor of the Church?.

Robert McNamara is Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the Franciscan University of Steubenville, USA, an Associate Member of Maryvale Institute, Associate Scholar of the Hildebrand Project, and Founding Member of the Aquinas Institute of Ireland. He researches anthropological and metaphysical questions in medieval and phenomenological thinkers, especially as both bear reference to philosophical personalism. Robert has studied physics and computing, philosophy and theology, and received his PhD from Liverpool Hope University for research detailing Edith Stein’s engagement with the thought of Thomas Aquinas in her mature philosophy of the human person.

Attendance of the Zoom seminar is free and open to all, including non-students, by registering below.
