Join us online on Thursday 21st October for the St John Henry Newman Research Centre for Catholic Theology's Online Academic Forum, the latest in a series of occasional, public seminars by Maryvale academics. This time, Mr Patrick Martin, MA, will be discussing Historical Apologetics
.Mr Martin lectures on Maryvale's MA in Catholic Applied Theology programme. Originally from a civil service background, Patrick subsequently studied at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at Maryvale Institute, attaining a distinction at MA. He was awarded the Institute’s prestigious Edward Hulmes Prize for Research in 2016 for his MA dissertation on the pre-Reformation Church in England. He was subsequently invited to teach on controversial issues from Church history on the MA course. Patrick's particular interest is in pre-Reformation Church history and he is currently scoping a research project in that area.
