Packed House at St Brigid of Ireland Fundraising Concert

A fantastic night was had by all at the St Brigid of Ireland Fundraising Concert at Maryvale on 1 February. The concert, which included music by Hooley and Irish dancing, was attended by over 90 people and raised over £700 towards the Bridgettine car appeal. The Friends of Maryvale would like to thank all who came, took part and performed.

I was very privileged to be able to attend the installation on the eve of the Epiphany of Mgr Michel Aupetit, the new Archbishop of Paris, in Notre Dame cathedral. It was also very special to note a familiar face in the procession of clergy. Bridgettine Oven Appeal 2017 - Thank You!

We're delighted to announce that the Oven Appeal for our Bridgettines has reached its goal and a replacement oven has been bought and installed in the Sisters' main kitchen at Maryvale. Following the installation, Fr Edward Clare blessed the oven and over the last few weeks, BDiv and FE students have been among the first to have benefited from their meals being prepared on the new stove...

Sacred Heart Chapel Refurbishment Update

To mark the Holy Year of Mercy, and with the generous support of our friends and benefactors, Maryvale has purchased eighteen bespoke hand-crafted chairs, six for the main chapel sanctuary and twelve for the Sacred Heart Shrine chapel. Sacred Heart Chapel Refurbishment

To mark the Shrine being opened to pilgrims throughout the Year of Mercy, this is the most appropriate time to place new chairs in the shrine chapel and we have the opportunity to buy a set of 12 bespoke, specially upholstered, chairs for £250 each. We are looking for benefactors willing to give a chair to the shrine, perhaps in memory of a loved one.

Triple Celebration
