On 27th May 2017, Fr Edward Clare (Institute Director) returned to Singapore to deliver the second study day of the Maryvale Certificate in Catechesis course held in the archdiocese. Fr Eddie was "delighted to be back" and "thanks all at Singapore Archdiocese Education Centre for ensuring an enjoyable and effective study weekend". Dr Marie Cooke (FE Director), while unable to attend in person, was thrilled to join in with sessions via webinar.
Maryvale Institute launched its Certificate in Catechesis Course (MCC) in Singapore, in support of the local Archdiocesan Catechetical Trainers' Programme (ACTP), administered by the Office for Catechesis (OfC), on 4 November 2016. The agreement was signed at a ceremony on in Singapore by the Director of Maryvale Institute, Fr Edward Clare and Vicar General (Pastoral) of Singapore Archdiocese, Msgr Ambrose Vaz. Maryvale was also represented on the day by FE Course Director, Dr Marie Cooke. Following the ceremony, Fr Clare and Dr Cooke delivered the first study weekend of catechetical training
